About The Artist

I love living at the beach—on Hatteras Island, North Carolina. The coast is my inspiration. Whether I'm walking the shoreline, exploring the marshes, paddling the sound, or diving beneath the waves, I’m constantly drawn to the textures, colors, patterns, and movement found in our coastal world. These elements shape everything I create. My work ranges from soft, realistic pastel pieces to bold, graphic designs in colored pencil and ink. No matter the medium, my goal is to express the spirit and rhythm of the wildlife and waters around me.

I graduated from the School of Design at North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Graphic Design. After moving to Hatteras Island, I followed my passion for drawing and illustration into a full-time career as an artist. Since 1996, I’ve been selling my art to galleries and shops nationwide and creating a wide variety of products—from prints and wall art to functional pieces like cutting boards, coasters, ceramic tiles, and more.

I feel incredibly fortunate to live in a place where surfing and kiteboarding are part of my everyday life. Those moments in the water—surrounded by wind, waves, wildlife, and the raw beauty of the island—continue to fuel my creativity and inspire every new piece I make.
